I loooove designing nurseries. The excitement and anticipation around your baby’s arrival is so fun and everything starts feeling real once the nursery comes together! From the very beginning, I knew I wanted this space to be soft, sweet and elegant—a place where my little one could grow, play, and sleep (fingers crossed!!) peacefully. As I brainstormed baby girl nursery designs, I created several mood boards that helped me refine my vision and ultimately led to the final design of the sweetest nursery. Today, I’m sharing my inspiration process and the final makeover of our baby girl’s nursery!

Minimalist Baby Girl Nursery

For the first mood board, I was inspired by a minimalist baby girl nursery style. I envisioned a calm, uncluttered space with clean lines and a neutral color palette. The key elements were soft, muted colors like white and beige, paired with natural wood tones to create a serene environment. I loved the idea of a nursery crib in the middle of the room as a focal point, adding a modern touch to the space. This look is perfect for parents who appreciate simplicity and elegance.

If you’re diggin’ these mood boards and want to make one for yourself, you’re in luck! I made a template on Canva that you can use to make your own mood boards! It’s totally free! Enter your email in the box below, try it out and let me know how it goes. I love seeing your designs!

Baby Pink Nursery Ideas

Next, I explored baby pink nursery ideas for a more traditional, feminine look. This mood board was all about soft pinks, delicate florals, and cozy textures. For this design, I incorporated neutral nursery with pink accents to balance the boldness of pink with calming neutrals, creating a harmonious and soothing space.

The Final Baby Girl Nursery Reveal

I love pink but my older daughter’s nursery was pink (see her cool new big girl room here!) and I had just painted my entire office pink at the time so I was feeling a change. I ended up choosing the soft blue arches with the pink, floral rug – which is so dreamy and SO soft, btw. And, as it turns out, my daughter has the sweetest little soul and the room just fits her perfectly! Here’s how the baby girl nursery turned out!
